Ryan is an experienced MBA Careers Development Consultant at The University of Queensland, where he leads initiatives that enhance leadership capability, executive career outcomes and industry engagement for the MBA community. With more than 20 years of experience across higher education, talent strategy, recruitment and stakeholder engagement, Ryan has developed high-impact programs that connect emerging leaders with industry, including the UQ MBA Board Mentoring Program and a strategic board engagement framework that creates governance opportunities for MBA professionals.
Ryan brings expertise in governance, strategic planning, stakeholder relations, leadership development, partnership building, and organisational growth. He is passionate about strengthening the capability of the not-for-profit sector and fostering meaningful connections between business leaders, educational institutions, and community organisations.
His connection to the Cherish Women’s Cancer Foundation is deeply personal. Following his wife Amanda’s cervical cancer diagnosis in 2012, Ryan experienced firsthand the challenges of cancer treatment, fertility preservation, IVF, and surrogacy. The journey that ultimately led to the birth of their two sons reinforced his commitment to advancing awareness, research and support for women affected by gynaecological cancers.
Ryan joined the Board of Directors of the Cherish Women’s Cancer Foundation in 2025 and contributes strategic leadership, governance expertise, and professional networks to support the Foundation’s growth, sustainability and mission-driven impact.
