Gynaecological Oncologist

Professor Andreas Obermair is a gynaecological oncologist based in Brisbane since 2003. He sees patients with proven gynaecological cancer or with symptoms suspicious for gynaecological cancer.

In 2012 he co-founded the Cherish Women’s Cancer Foundation to raise funds for urgent research to advance gynaecological cancer care in Australia and worldwide.

He is a Professor at The University of Queensland and leads internationally recognised research into more effective and less invasive treatments for gynaecological cancer. This ensures that patients received up-to-date surgical service consistent with national and international standards.

Prof Obermair enjoys excellent professional relationships with colleagues from multiple clinical specialities.
