What are Gynaecological Cancers?
Gynaecological cancer affects the tissue and organs of the female reproductive system.
These include ovarian cancer, cervical cancer, endometrial cancer (also referred to as uterine cancer), vaginal cancer and vulvar cancer.
Each year over 6,700 Australian women and girls are diagnosed with gynaecological cancer. This means 18 people a day receive the life-changing news each and every day.
Cherish Women’s Cancer Foundation wants to raise awareness of the symptoms of gynaecological cancer, as it can mane an earlier diagnosis and optimal outcome.
