The Cherish Foundation Midwinter Gala 2027

An unforgettable event of celebration and purpose.

On Saturday, 10 July 2027, Annie and John O’Connor will proudly host The Cherish Foundation Midwinter Gala at The Rocks, the much‑anticipated second instalment of the event, first launched in 2025.

Set against the breathtaking natural surroundings of The Rocks, this exclusive winter gala promises an unforgettable evening under the stars. Guests will enjoy drinks by the river before moving into a stunning clear‑roof marquee, dining under a canopy of twinkling lights. The night features inspiring guest speakers, exciting auctions and raffles, gourmet dining, a four‑hour beverage package, live music and dancing — all designed to create an exceptional experience while driving meaningful impact.

This event is more than a gala; it is a celebration with purpose. Funds raised support Cherish Women’s Cancer Foundation and our mission to transform the standard of care for women and girls diagnosed with gynaecological cancer. While we cannot change a diagnosis, we are committed to creating a kinder tomorrow by funding life‑changing clinical trials and research that lead to gentler treatment options, greater understanding of causes and prevention, and improved quality of life.

For Annie, this cause is deeply personal. Following her ovarian cancer diagnosis in May 2024, she learned firsthand how subtle the symptoms can be and how urgently this research is needed.

Each year, more than 7,000 Australian women and girls are diagnosed with gynaecological cancer, and almost one‑third will not survive their disease. These cancers — ovarian, endometrial, cervical, vaginal and vulvar — are among the most significant health challenges facing Australian women.

Let’s come together to make a lasting impact, funding kinder treatments for women with gynaecological cancer, all while enjoying an exceptional evening.
