Annie O’Connor is turning determination into action as she prepares for the Cherish Foundation’s Charity Trek to Bhutan in 2026. After enduring six rounds of chemotherapy and major surgery to treat ovarian cancer, Annie is now channeling her energy into raising funds for vital research—aimed at improving early diagnosis and developing kinder treatments for women facing gynaecological cancer.
To support her fundraising goal, Annie is hosting a movie night fundraiser at Noosa Cinemas on Sunday, 14 September 2025, featuring the hilarious new release The Roses. Guests will enjoy drinks and gourmet canapés from The Rocks Functions at 4 PM, followed by the film screening at 5 PM. It’s set to be a fun and meaningful evening—perfect for a date night, girls’ night out, or simply a chance to support a great cause. Tickets are available via TryBooking.
But Annie’s efforts don’t stop there. She’s also inviting the community to join her in training for the Bhutan Trek. Whether you’re looking to get fit, offer encouragement, or simply walk alongside someone with an incredible story, Annie’s open hiking dates offer a chance to connect and support her journey. “Joining the Cherish Charity Trek to Bhutan is exciting and definitely a challenge in many ways for me,” Annie shared. “But I’m determined to reach my goals—physically and through fundraising—to help drive better outcomes for women like me.”
Her story is a powerful reminder of resilience, purpose, and the impact one person can make. Let’s rally behind Annie and help her reach new heights—literally and figuratively. Donate to Annie today.
