Anna Katter is admitted as a barrister in Queensland and has a professional background in commercial, corporate, administrative law and alternative dispute resolution. Anna also currently works as a sessional academic in law at both the Australian Catholic University and CQUniversity, Brisbane and has previously taught at a number of other local universities including The University of Queensland, Griffith University and QUT. Anna has a particular teaching interest in corporations law and governance. Prior to being called to the Bar, Anna practiced at Minter Ellison Lawyers, Brisbane; served as an Associate in the Supreme Court of Queensland; worked as in-house counsel; and acted as a parliamentary adviser at Parliament House, Queensland. In addition to this legal experience, Anna has served on a number of not-for-profit boards and committees over the past 15 years principally in the education, arts and health sectors. Her experience and long service in not-for-profit governance earned Anna the recognition of Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia (FGIA) in 2017. Anna joined the Cherish Board as a director in February 2019.
